14. John3 Anglin (William2, Adrian1) was born in Louisa, Virginia 1757. John died December 1836 in Dickson, Tennessee.
He married twice. He married an unknown person. He married Elizabeth Carver in Wilson, Tennessee, September 1, 1809. Elizabeth was born in North Carolina 1782. Elizabeth died about 1862 in Dickson, Tennessee. Notes of Olan R Lewis 204 Howard Ave Piedmont, Ca 04611 John Anglin wass born 1757 in Louisa County, Virginia. He was about 30 years old when called into Service from Caswell County, North Carolina during the Revolutionary War and moved to Laurens Dist in South Carolina and lived there about 25 years. He married his first wife after the war and moved to Laurens District in South Carolina and lived there about 25 years. Perhaps at the death of his first wife he returned to Caswell County North Carolina and left to go to Tennessee with Thomas Carver and others. John married Thomas Carvers daughter Elizabeth in Wilson County, Tennesse 1 Sep 1809, the date of the bond and moved on to live in Dickson County, Tennesseuntil his death. On the family group sheet the first few children are lised by his first wife in South Carolina. One may obtain a copy of John's declaration for a pension and also that of Elizabeth his wife who out lived him by about 26 years from the National Archives Washington DC 20408 Anyone who would wish to be a member of the DAR or SAR and is a descendant of John Anglin would qualify for membership no doubt. John Agnlin died Dec 1836 at age 179.
