35. David¹² Desmarets (Jean¹¹, Francois¹⁰ Des_marets, Jacques⁹, Jacques⁸, Jean⁷, Reginald⁶, Hugo⁵, Baldwin Viii⁴, Baldwin Vii³, Baldwin Vi², William¹) was born in Beauchamps, Chambray, France 1620. David died October 16, 1695 in New Milford, Bemen, New Jersey.

He married twice. He married Marguerite De_herville. He married Marie Sohier in French Church, Middleburg Is, Walcheren, Zeeland, July 24, 1643. Marie was born in Nieppe, France, France 1623. She was the daughter of Francois Sohier and Margrieta. Marie died October 3, 1681 in Kinderkamack, New Milford, Bergen, New Jersey. Her body was interred 1677. Page 1-II-1 1 DAVID, born 1620 Beauchamps, France died Oct 16, 1695 at present-day New Milford New Jersey, married July 24, 1643 at the French Church, Middleburg Island of Walcheren, Zeeland, Marie Sohier, daughter of Francois Sohier and Margrieta, from Nieppe, a town of Hainault, France. She died c. 1677/8 about the time of the removal from Harlem NY to the new home on the Hackensack River at New Milford, then called Kinderkamack. David was highly respected wherever he lived; for details see Narrative. His will was dated 26 Aug 1689 and probated July 30, 1697. His will included a bequest to Anna Cronk, possibly his housekeeper, of 100 acres and the rest of his estate went to his three sons, equally, except that the son Daivd had died, so "Jean Durie our cousin" represented the children David Jr. and he later married the widow. LAST WILL OF (1) DAVID des MAREST, 1689. In the name of God Amen. Know all men by these presents, that I David Desmarest in the Countie of Esse in New Jersey, Yeoman and Miller considering Mortality of all men, certaintee of death, and the uncertain time, have concluded to make my last will and testament out of the free will and well premeditated. In manner following: Imprimis: I recommend my Imortal Soule, when Departed out of my body unto the Merciful hands of God Almight and my Corps to a Decent & Christian burial. SECONDLY, I make my three sones, John, David & Samuel to bee my sole & only Heirs of my whole estate Reall and personally, moveable and unmoveable, creits and actions none excepted, which I shall leave by decease(except the underm mentioned Legacies) for to be equally Inherited & divided between them without any distinction or prerogative of the one above the other and after my decease to make use of any person or persons whatsoever they paying my Debts first. THIRDLY, I bequeather to my maide Anna Counk one hundred acres of land, to be delviered to her by my said sones, to such places as they shall agree Amongs themselves to bedelivered to her free and cleare, and after my decease, out of my lands. 46 viii. David Desmarets was born in Middleburg, Island/walcheren, Zeeland before June 22, 1649. David died ABT AUG 1691.

47 ix. David Desmarets was born in Mannheim December 20, 1651. David died in Bergen, Nj.

48 x. David Desmarets was born in Middleburg, Island/walcheren, Zeeland December 24, 1651. He married three times. He married Roeloff Vanderlinde. He married Jan Durie. He married Rachel Cresson in New York City, New York, New York, April 4, 1675. Rachel was born 1656.

49 xi. Samuel Des_marets was born in Mannheim August 5, 1656. Samuel died 1728 in Will Dated 10may.

50 xii. Samuel Desmarets was born in Middleburg, Island/walcheren, Zeeland August 10, 1656. Samuel died before October 19, 1728. He married Maria Deruine in Bergen Church, Bergen, New Jersey, August 11, 1678. Maria was born in New Harlem, New York January 1, 1662. She was the daughter of Simon Druine and Magdalena Van_derstraaten. Maria died in Bergen, New Jersey.
