He married Margaret De Mowbray Lady about 1420. She is the daughter of Thomas (Sir) De Mowbray Duke of Norfolk and Elizabeth Fitzalan.

Robert Howard Sir and Margaret De Mowbray Lady had the following children:

+ 2 i. John (Sir)² Howard was born before 1460.

3 ii. Margaret Howard was born before 1460. She married Thomas (Sir) Danyell Baron o'Rathwire.

4 iii. Catherine Howard was born before 1460. She married Edward Neville Lord Abergavenny.
