7. Joseph² Hewins (Jacob¹) was born in Dorchester, Suffolk Co, Ma May 30, 1668. Joseph died February 24, 1755 at 86 years of age.

He married Mehitable Lyon in Dorchester, Norfolk Co, Ma, January 29, 1690. Mehitable was born in 23 (8) 1669. She was the daughter of Peter Lyon and Hannah (Tent.) Tolman. Joseph Hewins and Mehitable Lyon had the following children:

+ 11 i. Jacob³ Hewins was born January 4, 1691/1692.

12 ii. Mehitable Hewins was born in Dorchester, Suffolk Co, Ma December 7, 1693. She married John Hixson March 3, 1717/1718. According to IGI C502221, Serial #1481.

13 iii. Joseph Hewins was born March 6, 1696. Joseph died January 13, 1697/1698 at 1 years of age. IGI Serial #7233928, Serial #18.

+ 14 iv. Benjamin Hewins was born January 27, 1697/1698.

15 v. Joseph Hewins was born February 26, 1701. Joseph died January 22, 1786 at 84 years of age. He married Catherine Bird. IGI Batch #7233928, Serial #25.

16 vi. Hannah Hewins was born April 10, 1703. IGI Batch #7233928, Serial #25 (or C502221-1895).

+ 17 vii. Ebenezer Hewins Lt. was born March 24, 1707.
