8. Joseph³ Towne (William², Poss Richard¹) was born about 1639. Joseph died 1713.

He married Phebe Perkins about 1663. She was the daughter of Thomas Perkins Deacon and Phebe Gould. Phebe died after 1715.

Joseph Towne and Phebe Perkins had the following child:

9 i. Susannah⁴ Towne was born in Topsfield, Essex Co, Ma December 24, 1670. Susannah died September 13, 1766/1776 at 96 years of age. She married John Cummings in Topsfield, Essex Co, Ma, January 23, 1688. John was born in Topsfield, Essex Co, Ma June 7, 1666. He was the son of Isaac Cummings and Mary Andrews. John died before May 8, 1722. (See John Cummings for the continuation of this line.)
