3. Samuel³ Bird (John², Thomas¹) was born April 14, 1680. Samuel died March 20, 1740 at 59 years of age.

He married Sarah Clapp May 16, 1704. Sarah was born March 24, 1686. She was the daughter of Desire Clapp and Sarah Pond.

Samuel Bird and Sarah Clapp had the following child:

4 i. Damaris⁴ Bird was born in Dorchester, Suffolk Co, Ma July 2, 1719. Damaris died August 12, 1773 in Stoughtenham, Norfolk Co, Ma, at 54 years of age. She married Jacob Hewins March 1, 1749. Jacob was born in Stoughton, Norfolk Co, Ma January 13, 1728. He was the son of Benjamin Hewins and Sarah Vose. Jacob died July 20, 1803 in Sharon, Norfolk Co, Ma, at 75 years of age.
